Energy & Utilities | Episode #1
Lately, the skyrocketing energy prices have been forcing families to reach deep into their pockets and even pushing some straight towards poverty. At the same time, societies, citizens, and national leaders around the world are looking for ways to reach net zero in the attempt to battle climate change.
These two circumstances lead us to the one question:
How can energy become cheaper, greener, and cleaner?
In this episode of GovTech News, we will take a closer look at what the future holds for the UK energy market, and how data, digitalisation and innovation can be helpful tools to meet the demands on green and affordable energy.
- We will be joined by Jason Brogden, independent consultant, and energy expert, who has 30 years of experience in the field. Jason will share some of the challenges faced in the process of digitizing the UK energy sector and tell us how data can help us use energy more efficiently.
- Afterwards, Ellen Fraser will be joining us in the GovTech studio. Besides being an energy expert and partner at Baringa consultancy firm, Ellen is also regularly featured in various media, commenting on the state of the market. In this episode, Ellen will be talking about how both digitalisation and innovation are necessary weapons in the battle against soaring energy prices.
